Two Weeks of Lectures

When we got back from our Christmas holidays, we started with two weeks of lectures from various different companies and fields of practice. We had representatives from Gustafson Porter, Hilliers Nusery, Whitelaw Turkington, Arup and Capita Lovejoy, as well as lecturers Rhys Williams and Christoph Lueder. Some of the lectures were really good as they gave us an insight into design and explored different ideas that opened your mind, made you aware of the importance of the little details and really made you think about how you would detail in the future. I think the best lectures were by Rhys Williams and Christoph Lueder because they weren't restricted to having to discuss the companies work, but looked at different companies and their different focuses i.e experimentation. This meant that I started to think about what would be important to me when looking for jobs.
